Hello everyone,
Recently, I released a new piece titled Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, and I want to launch a special co-creation project around it.
There is an old Chinese saying: “Like the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each reveals their unique divine power.”
This time, I want us to first “create an ocean” together.
I am going to provide a foundational melodic framework. I invite players of the guzheng, pipa, ruan, yangqin—or absolutely any other instrument—to join in and play this piece of music in your own way. Once this musical “ocean” is built, we will invite even more melodic instruments to join, allowing everyone to express themselves freely and respond to one another within the same piece of music.
It does not need to sound exactly the same, nor do you need to look for a “standard answer.”
Just use your own unique interpretation and play your own version.
The sheet music can be viewed on my homepage, and if you contact me, I will send the audio files directly to you.
Over the next two weeks, my team will also provide promotional support for the submissions we love.
